English Mastery

Elevating English Proficiency
Developing your child’s English proficiency goes beyond memorising grammar rules and vocabulary words. By focusing on the fundamental language skills, namely listening, reading, speaking and writing, we stimulate their ability to delve deeper into given texts, source for answers and analyse errors, moulding them into critical thinkers and successful learners, both in school and beyond.
Whether tackling academic challenges or navigating the ever-expanding world of information, strong English proficiency allows your child to dissect information, engage in thoughtful discussions, form well-supported arguments, and truly excel in a critical learning environment.
What a Lesson Builds
Examination Preparation
Lessons prepare a child for the English paper they sit at school and for Cambridge Young Learners’ English, so the format, the timing and the question types are familiar long before the day itself.
Grammar in Use
Grammar is taught through activities and real examples rather than rules to be memorised, so a child ends up applying it in what they say and write instead of reciting it.
Vocabulary in Context
New words arrive through games, discussion and reading rather than through lists, so a child learns not only what a word means but where it belongs.
Speaking and Listening
A daily speak-up circle means every child says something aloud in English, not only the confident ones. Listening is practised as deliberately, responding to an educator and to each other rather than only to a recording.
SJKC and Cambridge Ready
English Mastery is built to support the KSSR English syllabus a child already follows at school, so classroom learning and TITAN’s daily practice reinforce each other rather than pulling in different directions. Lessons also align to the Cambridge CEFR framework, and children may sit Cambridge Young Learners’ English (YLE) examinations.

A Safe Place to Build Confidence in English
Confidence in a second language is built by using it, not by being corrected out of using it. TITAN’s English environment is deliberately built as a place where a child can attempt a sentence, get it wrong, and try again without fear of judgment, because a mistake made and corrected is how the language is actually learned, not a failure to be avoided.

Common Questions
My child does not speak English yet. Can they adapt?
Yes. Many children join TITAN with little or no English. Through daily exposure, patient guidance and simple classroom support, they gradually build confidence and adapt at their own pace.
How much English does my child get to use each day?
Around 2 to 3 hours each day: about 1 hour taught in TITAN English Mastery, and roughly 1 to 2 more hours across the rest of the day, at meals and breaks, in everyday conversation with educators, and in English homework and spelling. That works out at 10 to 15 hours a week.
Do you have just TITAN English Mastery class?
Unfortunately, we do not. TITAN English Mastery is part of the Full English Immersion Student Care programme rather than a class on its own.
Who is this designed for?
TITAN serves primarily Mandarin-speaking families from SJKC (Chinese national-type primary schools) in Johor Bahru, giving children a structured English-speaking environment across their session at the centre, outside their Mandarin-medium school day.
