We Understand How Your Child Learns

The TITAN Method

Children rarely fail to learn because they cannot. Learning stalls in three specific places, and each one has an answer: the TITAN Method is a cycle of Encode, Recall and Apply, built into the ordinary blocks of the afternoon rather than sold as a separate class.

Where Learning Breaks Down

  1. Two TITAN students working with a number balance, one of them celebrating

    01

    Encode

Misconceptions are ideas taken in wrongly, or only half-formed. A child who has memorised a method without knowing why it works looks identical on a worksheet — until the question changes shape.

Children put each new idea into their own words before the lesson moves on, so a shaky understanding is caught while it can still be fixed.

  2. TITAN students working through written exercises at their desks

    02

    Recall

Forgetting is what memory does to anything it is not asked for, and it happens faster than a school term assumes.

Children bring material back with the book closed, several times a week. What they know gets stronger, and gaps surface while they are still small.

  3. TITAN's own Mathematics workbooks for Primary 1 to 3, with number tiles, cards and counters

    03

    Apply

Lack of transfer is knowing something only inside the lesson that taught it, and not reaching for it when a question does not announce which method to use.

Children meet the same skill in school questions, in other subjects and in English all afternoon, until they no longer need telling which method to use.

Our Six Key Beliefs

Our beliefs guide how we design our curriculum, teach our lessons and support every child.

  1. A TITAN student speaking to the class while her educator listens

    01

    Every Child Has Potential

We see the TITAN in every child. Children develop at different rates and bring different strengths and needs to the classroom. Our role is to understand each child, hold high expectations and provide the teaching and support they need to progress.

  2. A TITAN student presenting his own work to the class

    02

    Driving Excellence Through Academic Rigour

Academic rigour is not an end in itself. It gives children the strong foundations, confidence and capability to go further. At TITAN, we develop deep understanding and the ability to apply learning — preparing children not only for examinations, but also for the opportunities and challenges beyond the classroom.

  3. A TITAN student handing something to a classmate

    03

    Developing the Whole Child

Academic achievement is only one part of a child’s development. We bring together Communication, Cognitive Development and Character so children grow not only in what they know, but also in how they think, express themselves and relate to others.

  4. Two TITAN students speaking through sock puppets in an English activity

    04

Language Is Learned by Living It

Children develop confidence in English when they use it meaningfully and often. That is why English at TITAN extends beyond language lessons — it is woven into learning, conversation and everyday experiences.

  5. A TITAN educator working through a question at the board with her class

    05

    Upholding Excellence in Teaching

A strong curriculum only comes alive through skilful teaching. Our educators plan with purpose, explain clearly, respond to each child’s understanding and continually refine their practice.

  6. TITAN's own Mathematics workbooks, sequenced by year and by term

    06

    A Curriculum Built for Success

Effective learning does not happen by chance. We carefully sequence what children learn, build in opportunities for recall and application, and continually review our curriculum to keep it relevant, rigorous and aligned with current educational standards.
